Petition Drive for Opeliaka Baptist Church
Please sign and return this petition (address below) as soon as possible.
Any U.S. citizen, 18 years and older, can sign this petition. This petition will influence the decision to grant a liquor license to the Red Bull Saloon, located near the Opeliaka Baptist Church.
We need to stand with our sister Church as they are striving to protect the Dignity, Safety and Moral Values of their Community.
Please help us gather as many names as possible!
Opeliaka Baptist Church, Murchison Texas is near Brownsboro in Henderson County. Henderson County is dry and by granting a Liquor license to the Red Bull Club in an upcoming hearing, this small community will become a magnet for reveling, drunk driving and public intoxication. If a liquor license is granted, the Red bull club will be allowed to serve drinks from 7:00 AM till late at night.
-- Petition against Red Bull Club Alcoholic Beverage License --
The petition: I wish to officially protest the issuance of a renewal permit for the changed location of the Red Bull Saloon, which is located on CR 3518 on the north side of Hwy 31 in Murchison, Texas. CR 3518 is a small road with numerous residences that will be close to where the Red Bull is applying to move to. There are small children in the area who play near the road and ride their bicycles on it daily. Approximately ½ mile down CR 3518 there is a railroad crossing that has numerous trains running all day and night and this crossing does not have crossing arms that come down. This roadway is also not lit with any kind of lighting as well. I feel that if this club moves to this new location it will be a definite danger to the public due to people driving in this residential area after having been drinking alcoholic beverages and becoming intoxicated. I feel if this club moves to this new location it will violate Section 11.46(a) (8) of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code.
