Moral Action Committee Reports

I believe a major portion of the American population feel, traditional Christmas (the Christian part) is the celebration of Jesus birth. However there are many in this country: who are driven to destroy Christian traditions to advance a sinful lifestyle. The indoctrination of our children is high on the list of those who would have evil replace good, and so they become part of a desperate attempt to take Christ out of Christmas, our children’s hearts and minds, and to end our long standing Christian tradition of Christmas forever.
New York City Schools are barring Christian nativity scenes, alleging that the birth of Christ is not an actual historic event. However, the same decision-makers are allowing the display of Jewish menorahs as well as the Star and the Crescent of Islam, declaring those symbols have a “secular dimension.”
In Illinois, state government workers were forbidden from saying the words "Merry Christmas" while at work.
In Rhode Island, local officials banned Christians from participating in a public project to decorate the lawn of City Hall.
A New Jersey school banned even instrumental versions of traditional Christmas carols.
Arizona school officials ruled it unconstitutional for a student to make any reference to the religious history of Christmas in a class project.
In Texas: The Plano ISD is being sued by Free Market Foundation’s Legal Division for prohibiting students from distributing gifts with religious messages attached, including a candy-cane pen.
The Anti-Christ, Atheists, Un-Godly, Separatist, revisionist, politically correct or whatever you may want to call them; have attacked every public display of all our Christian symbols and holidays.
Thanksgiving, and Easter have been targeted, so why not Christmas? Perhaps the number one Christian holiday of them all! The Nativity scene then becomes number one on the long list of those behind this evil effort to deny the day God came to earth, and thereby deny the Gospel of Christ.
Some of those trying to separate us from God may fear Jesus really is who He and the Bible say He is. They seek to become our Shepard and lead us to a place of false truth, blind to the fact that we already have [the] Shepard and [the] truth.
Romans 1:21-22 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing they to be wise, they became fools.
Whataburger corporate headquarters has decided not to send Christmas decorations to any of their stores.
Wendy's Restaurant employees can only say “Happy Holidays” and are not allowed to use the words "Merry Christmas" when greeting customers.
Wal-mart has implemented a company wide boycott of the traditional Christmas greeting, telling their employees to greet customers with “Happy Holidays” and not the dreaded “C” word.
When greeted with Happy Holidays, we might ask them to which one of the Holidays are they referring? Jesus Birthday?
Companies like Wal-mart want to be “inclusive of all faiths” and to “not offend,” but the only way to pacify pagan fear is to exclude Christ: the head of the most widely accepted faith in America and the world for over two thousand years. The result of this type of ‘intolerance’ creates open hostility toward Christianity.
Let us not be a part of denying Christ and His birth, by letting ‘the worldly’ discredit Jesus. We should be offended because they claim to be offended by us. The infamous Al-Aqsa Mosque, ‘the gold dome that sets on the temple mount overlooking Jerusalem,’ has an Islamic inscription printed on the outside of it’s dome proclaiming to Jerusalem and the world: GOD HAS NO SON!
God does have a Son, and His name is JESUS! And its time we defend our faith against those who are trying to discredit it.
Let us use every opportunity to support, promote, and proclaim the good news of Jesus birth, giving Him due honor and glory, as in the words of popular song: Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.
The Moral Action Committee of the BMA of Texas, in our November meeting, during our State Associational Meetings at Waco, passed a Christmas proclamation:
It is with much consideration that the Moral Action Committee, call upon the Churches of the BMA of Texas and individual BMAT Church members, to consider: a voluntary public promotion and display of the true and Holy meaning of Christmas, through nativity scenes and Church billboard slogans, on Church or private property; or on the court house square (with permission.)
And let us also freely express the traditional Christmas greeting: “Merry Christmas” in our efforts to “Keep Christ in Christmas.”
