I hear this question with people throwing up their hands rather than looking for an answer. All too often people feel that one person does not and cannot make a difference. But when we band together in prayer we can make a big difference.
In Psalm 140 David had all he needed to make a difference. We are living in a world that keeps us on guard day and night with the tension causing (to a degree) a spiritual breakdown. We forget that we have the power of the God of the universe at our disposal. We may ask, just as did David, not only for protection from those that are out to bring us harm but that their plans backfire on them. If we as Christians would earnestly apply this prayer to our lives and pray this over our families and our country, I believe and trust God to answer our request.
We must stop following the example of nations which are foreign to us and to God's will; separating our country by religious and political beliefs. We must pray as God's people. The child molester, rapist, and porn dealer do not care if you are Republican or Democrat. Neither does God care which party you support. What He cares about is a personal relationship with His children. THAT'S YOU!
With everyone attacking us from the outside, isn't it time we quit fighting on the inside? We need to go back to not only trusting God but seeking His will in our lives and bringing back godly morals into our homes. Only I can do that in my home. May God give us the desire and will power that we need.
