1. What is a local Liaison for the Moral Action Committee?

The MAC Liaison: is any BMAT Church member who is willing to relay Important MAC information to their Church and relay local moral concerns to the BMAT MAC.
 

While all BMAT Church members are welcomed and encourage: to contact the Moral Action Committee, some Church members may be overly busy and would appreciate a fellow Church member keeping them informed on Texas moral action issues. By contacting one person per Church, important TMAC information and action alerts will reach more Church members directly.

2. Why not just contact us through our pastor?

Pastors are very busy men. Most of them do not need another task requiring their time and attention.

3. I'm a pastor. Can I be my Church's MAC Liaison?

YES! Pastors should have a special interest in the moral issues we address and may choose

to be the MAC Liaison for their church, and should feel free to do so.

4. What does the MAC Liaison do?

As MAC Liaison you will be responsible for receiving information from the BMAT MAC,

copying, distributing and/or reading MAC information to your Church.

 

As MAC Liaison you may also be a local watchman, keeping TMAC informed of all immoral Issues arising in your area.

 

As MAC Liaison you may be asked to help arrange a time for a Moral Action Committeeman to speak about our ministry/work before your church.

5. Let's say I want to be the MAC Liaison at my church - what do I do now?

First, make sure you are willing to commit yourself to doing the job. It's possible there may be periods of time when little is required; but at other times it may be more demanding according to the issues arising.

 

Second, talk to your pastor and get his approval. It may be he already has someone in mind. In any case, the TMAC does not want to circumvent your pastor's God-given responsibility as the head of his Church.
